Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our emergency medical services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and safety, with the ability to perform under pressure in critical situations. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support and emergency medical care to patients in various environments, including pre-hospital settings and during transport to healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and physical examinations to determine the nature and extent of illnesses or injuries.
• Administer medications, intravenous therapy, and other advanced life support techniques as required.
• Conduct venipuncture and utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
• Provide critical care transport for patients requiring specialized medical attention.
• Triage patients effectively based on the severity of their conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a Level II Trauma Center environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical protocols.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide high-quality care during transport to hospitals or other medical facilities.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in emergency medical services.

Requirements

• Valid Paramedic certification from an accredited program.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to emergency care.
• Experience in critical care settings is preferred, including familiarity with ER protocols.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, triage, and critical care transport procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating strong independent decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
