Job Summary

We are seeking an Acute Care Manager to join our healthcare team. The Acute Care  Manager will assume responsibility for the Med-Surg, Telemetry, and ICU/CVU units. 

He/she will assist the Director of Nursing with staff development, unit-based quality initiatives, daily operations, programmatic initiatives, daily huddles, patient experience  initiatives, patient safety, quality measures, and review of documentation.  

The Acute Care Manager will facilitate the development of new staff and will work closely  with the education department to ensure that the learning needs of the unit are met. They will participate in nursing leadership activities and are capable and able to perform as a  staff nurse for the unit when the census is required. Role models professional behavior and  performance to other team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Graduate from an accredited school of  nursing. BSN preferred. 
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. 
• Required – American Red Cross/AHA BLS upon hire, ACLS within 6 months of hire. PALS within 1 year.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.
